I am sharing no original thoughts in my writing. All of my ideas are ideas that I have read or heard from others, thought about, and am recycling in some fashion. I want to give credit when possible, but often I don’t remember the origin of the idea. I just know it probably wasn’t me!
This has kept me from writing for years. I never thought it would be helpful. Why should I write about a topic when I can point people to a better book or article about it?
Recently, I have come to believe that my writing can be helpful. Primarily, it is helpful to me. It allows me to think about, clarify, and organize my thoughts on ideas and issues in my life. Also, I have been told by friends over the years that they like how I explain things. So, here we are.
My point is that I don’t think I have any original ideas and I don’t want to give the impression that I do, nor do I want to take credit for someone else’s idea.
