Maxim #7: Embrace the Suck

This is what you wanted.

You wanted it to be hard.

You wanted it to suck so you could prove to yourself that you could handle it.

That you were strong.

That you were tough.

That is why you trained hard.

That is why you woke up early.

That is why you did the reps.

In the heat.

In the cold.

So you would be ready for this.

Would you be satisfied if it were easy?

Would you be proud of yourself it were easy?

No, you wouldn’t.

You wanted it to be hard.

So embrace the suck and get after it.
