Don’t wait for someone to ask you.
You are the one who wants it.
Take initiative.
Take ownership.
Own the Ask.
Want to work on the project? Ask.
Want a raise? Ask.
Want your relationship to be different? Ask.
Want to hang out with some friends? Ask.
Want to go out with that guy or girl? Ask.
The same mindset applies in situations that don’t require an ask.
Say hi first.
Smile first.
Offer to help.
No one should want it more for you than you do, right?
It’s no one else’s responsibility to make it happen for you, right?
It’s your’s.
And don’t you want to be the type of person who owns it? Who asks?
Ask.
Even if the answer is “No”, you still asked.
Long-term that is the bigger win.
You demonstrated that you are the type of person who takes initiative.
Who owns it.
Who asks.
Own the Ask.
