I have already confessed that I Believe Things That Aren’t True, so I will go ahead and confess that I believe weird things, too.

To be fair, I think everyone believes weird things.

I just believe different weird things than the weird things others believe.

A couple of examples of weird things I believe:

— An invisible, spiritual, all-powerful being is responsible for creating the entire universe and keeping it going.

— Each of us are a union of a physical body and non-physical soul.

A couple of examples of weird things others believe:

— The universe and everything in it happened accidentally and for no reason.

— Only physical things are real. Nothing non-physical exists.

Lots of people believe one or more of these four examples. Lots.

But they sound weird, right?

Invisible beings?

Souls?

All of this is an accident?

Everything can be explained by atoms?

I think each of those things sound weird, even the ones I believe.

The question isn’t whether we believe weird things. We all believe weird things.

The question is whether any of them are true.
